L'Irlande et la météo
You never have to languish, as directly attacking this series of blog reporting on my new country by the question you're asking all when we evoke the Celtic countries: what time is it?
Indeed, one of the prejudices The most recurring to Ireland is that there's cold and it rains all the time.
Yes!
Ok, I caricature a bit too.
To be more exact, there is still one in two chance of having a day without rain.
Odds two days I hear, because the 363 other days you can be sure at one time or another to be entitled to a few drops
But we made it very quickly.
same time, there was no choice.
Would that my first morning, a Sunday in mid January.
returned later, much needed sleep.
And then, O joy, I am awakened by sunlight passing through the curtains. All
glad I got up, spread the cloth and come face to face with ... rain.
And yes, even when it's fine he must float in this damn country.
the afternoon during a lull, coming back from my trip to the races (those of the previous episode), I experienced another mortal enemy in the region: the wind.
The icy wind, composed of tiny particles cryopreserved with blades of ice and that seeps into the smallest holes of your clothes to pick you scratch the skin.
Eyes half-closed to protect my eyesight, I was trying somehow to return home, wondering if I survive when I pass a little old hands in his pockets smiling at me and said "Nice breeze!"
Arg, if this is the way to welcome the migrants I prefer to go into exile in countries where it is allowed to base of flower necklace deposited by a pretty young vahinée topless. How to Yemen!
But perhaps that despite these experiences you are always doubtful about the weather conditions here.
You say "yes, but hey, it's the same everywhere, too bad it does not change the masses of Brittany (true) ".
But here is assumed fully integrated into the culture, lifestyle and even in business.
An example?
I think it the only place in the souvenir shops at the stand of umbrella, you have a promotion if you buy 3 at once!
And if you do buy one, by saying "oh no when bein well, that's enough, "bein two weeks later, when a great big gust of wind has made you also use a computer running Windows Vista and one gigabyte of RAM, you bein you say that the promo n is not that stupid.
Another example, which I think sums up the situation yourself:
At my office we've had solar powered calculators.
Well, my calculator to work done by the sun, it still has a AA battery built, just in case!
It speaks volumes about the confidence of the Irish to the Sun.
Despite this, people still try to reassure you when you come.
During my first days I was told that "Ouiiii, time is vraiiii is not CAAA, but at least it's always between 5 and 20 degrees, so it was right in the wind and rain, but it everything! "
Only two weeks after my arrival, a huge snowstorm interspersed with downpours of hail for two days. It promised for later.
There's really more my poor season Lucette!

Where To Buy Animal Bar Stools
Et depuis ?
And yes, I know, there's letting go with a blog almost abandoned.
But no, I do not forget you.
Yes, my situation go from depression to a new position with strange novelties, such as responsibilities, be listened to and respected, seeing his advice taken into consideration, wow, so it's possible.
Premier contact humain : un chauffeur de taxi racist who cheated me seeing that I was a stranger. Phew, at least the transition is smooth compared to Parisian life!
Rendezvous with a future colleague mentally disturbed who happily that night had taken his medication, head for the house rented by the company in which I hosted for two weeks, time to find housing.
Arrive in the house, having endured listening to the mix of the taxi driver, disc jockey in his spare crappy waiting for me when another colleague.
Colleague very present but completely asleep and not responsive to any attempt de réveil du premier.
Je me retourne et voix mon colloc open your eyes, jump, open your mouth and push a huge "GROOOOOOOAR.
And yes, soon after 27 and lived alone, I finally discovered the joys of collocation ... a bear!
Not much 'conversation that evening, the next day I tried a few snippets of conversation after trying unsuccessfully to tame it with sardines and canned tuna scraps.
My only trip on Sunday is to go shopping for my sustenance.
Good, fundamental error, for all English-speaking friends, I was shopping at SPAR.
What Spar ?
Definition:
"red color and small size, the Spar is the distribution of food by its consequent implementation will soon be must for shopping. Undeniably living space in your life, discover the subtle mixture of high surface by the number of brands available, fast food to the smell of food that emerges from our space to carry food and Arabic from the corner ... for the price "
Yes, I had never seen tickets disappear as fast for 10 slices of bread, some cheese and ham. Amazing, I feel like the movies and order a Coke with a packet of M & M's.
Sunday night despite the stress and anxiety the first day, I quickly found sleep.
up early (yes, it's pretty unique to be mentioned), arrived with 15 minutes ahead of schedule supposed to open (yes, it's even more exciting), I support feverishly on the doorbell input and there ...
NOTHING
A half hour later, the time that the office manager (yes good, the secretary what, but it sounds better) arrives, I start chatting quietly with a tea burning hands to get warm.
Host Committee restricted since the responsible office Dublin was missing, my manager late. Almost total silence among colleagues and my computer was not configured. A breakfast alone with myself and that's how good pinball returned in the evening.
confused ideas which fortunately flew on the second day when, with finally a machine in working condition and almost clear vision of what was supposed to be my job (yes it can help) I could start email contacts, notes, index cards, etc..
The roommate was finally tamed but I still had to find a place to live. My motto:
No doubt, I value my independence, I want an apartment for myself.
A quick tour through the listings available online. My motto:
No doubt, I want my money, I want a shared apartment.
After one or two aberrations (flatmate to 5 with 4 Erasmus students in an apartment where the fridge is the size of my bedside table), I came across two apartments favorite and I decided on one with panoramic views Dublin and its river.
Well, this is not Manhattan or a view of paradise beach but it is a nice lookout over the city, the country, its people and their habits.
This is also the subject I hope the next notes that you lay in less than 8 months this time;)

Hl-dt-st Dvdram Gh40f Booktype
La fin d'un long voyage ... Kuala Lumpur
Mais le vendeur refusant de nous vendre a bus ticket to the airport (he pretended with traffic jams, we risk being late when our flight was 4 hours later!), we walked up to a Skytrain station. After a change, we jumped on the train to Airport Express.
Finally, with nearly three hours in advance that we arrived at the airport. We registered our bags. The flight to Seoul was not full, the station manager gave us a row of 4 seats for 2 of us. That would certainly help to get some sleep. Then we spent time in the airport and many internationally recognized awards for the quality of its facilities. However, when we thought we find in one of these mega-modern airports has untold goodwill, we were certainly in a modern airport, but very respectable size and very quiet in the number of departures and arrivals. 23:45
precise, our plane was shaking. Our long journey home had begun. The flight went like a charm (despite the fact that we were in an A330 and I could not help but give a thought to what happened four weeks ago over the Atlantic). At 7:30, after more than seven hours of flight, we landed in Seoul.
During that lasted 3 hours in port, we walked into this beautiful and huge''Incheon airport.'' Number of duty-free shops offer the full panoply of course the more luxurious items, but most offer free workshops to learn the passenger has some Korean arts. For us, it was making''''Korean socks, bits of cardboard in the shape of the sock is covered with crepe paper glued. Once dried, you pass a string through a hole that is drilled in their end and we get a pretty decoration that can be used as a keychain or cell phone for decoration.
Notre Boeing 747 était plein a craquer. Manathan was at our feet. We did a big loop over the Atlantic, then the commander makes a final tight right at low altitude to align our plane on the runway at JFK. The wheels touched the runway. By doing so, we would breathe the air of North America just 10 ½ months after leaving the continent, 18 August 2008.
Once landed, we went through the normal process of immigration (smoothly) and then we switched devices to take our last plane that we would close the loop. A short subway ride air and we were there. It was interesting to find the cozy and somewhat sanitized U.S. airports with their long, carpeted corridors, their sequence of''fast food''and their devices very linear. Note that after waiting plane arrives (!), We finally boarded the shuttle''''American Eagle has flights to the beautiful Montreal. Being behind the schedule, the tour has taken us to all aircraft in the queue for take-off and we put our gas without seeking rest. More than an hour and a half and our trip would be well and truly over. While the pilot slalommait between gigantic cumulonimbus notes strewn on the road, we dreamed our trip without realizing that the end was imminent. A bit like we had a few days to realize that began 10 months and a half ago.
Passing over Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh, we began our descent. The time has discovered, as we welcome the country. The St. Laurent Montreal shone brightly. In the distance, outlined against the Montreal skyline. A last loop on Lake St. Louis to lose altitude and we sat in line on the runway at the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport. The track was tight and we took a deep breath just before the wheels touch the ground. A bit like a movie or the hero finds himself in the head water and that we take one last breath of oxygen with him ... because you never know how long it will last. In our case, the screeching of the wheels on the tarmac meant the end of a long adventure. The aircraft joined the terminal and we had a Canadian immigration.
The officer seemed surprised that we were gone so long. She must be newly assigned to this position because people who go long ... ''''S a lot! Finally, after having picked up our bags on the carousel, the last step was to cross Canada Customs. With the remarks of the officer of the Immigration and stamps collection alien who decorated our passports, we were certain to have to spend a moment at the excavation. But to our surprise, the customs officer took our declaration form has cast an eye on it and we launched a''good day''as stoical as your baker who greet you when you enter his store to buy a baguette. Automatic doors were opened. Behind every massing of many who had sought a relative, friend, client, a family member. To welcome us, it's Stephanie who was. What a nice feeling to return after so long. It was tight, and then we joined Gary was in the car. We put our bags in the trunk and took the motorway to the south. This time, we come full circle. For real. While parading the road and that we find so familiar places, a strange feeling we lived. A mixture of nostalgia for completing a journey as unique and comfort has to finally ask us to return and begin to digest what we had eaten for so long. But soon, one thing has taken over this''melting pot''of emotions: finally, it is not so sad it's come back home ... it is so good here.
We had set foot on this continent where we have chosen we establish a few years ago. 5 years for Sylvie. Almost 11 for me. We should now deal with one more string to our bow. Or rather more experience in our lives. Therefore it would take us a while to really return to our former way of life (if that's really what we want) and integrate it peacefully digest of life we've been through in recent months. But it will be the last opportunity for a post by a few weeks where we will tell our reintegration into the lifestyle of North America. With our joys. There. Our achievements. And certainly very few disappointments ..

Fish Scales Are Peeling Around Mouth
At 20:15, we jumped in a taxi to the bus station rejoind which was a bit far. Our bus was leaving at 21:00. Planners, we came to 20.30. While we waited, an impressive number of buses (many were returning to KL) in succession, all apparently more comfortable than the others. An employee reassured me by telling me that our (No 104) had not yet arrived and we would advise that once he would. But at 21:00, still nothing. 21:15. 21:30. 21:45. Still no more buses No. 104. At 22:00, a bus of its kind''municipal''bus entered the bus station. As before, there was''104''scrawled on a sheet of paper. It could not be done! Both say that jai felt rising in me a huge anger from the feeling of having been deceived. There was no question that we reach KL in such a vehicle. Seeing that I was rather worried, a company supervisor told me that this vehicle would lead us only has about 50 km from here, or we would get into our''real''bus that arrived from another city. Somewhat reassured (but not completely because the story smelled bad!), We boarded our shuttle''.'' An hour later, we fixed the poorly lit parking d'un arret de bus de village.
Apres etre descendus dans la grande gare routiere or there was already an important activity, we went along wide boulevards to join a Skytrain station. A few stops later, we were at the train station to put our bags on consignment. Indeed, late in the day, it was expected that we find Constance (cross few weeks earlier in Banaue, Philippines) who lives about 40 km north of the city. Our plan was as follows: visit the city during the day and take the train late after-noon we will be welcoming or Constance Rawang for the night. After having locked our backpacks in the major guidelines of metal, so we took the subway to our first visit to KL's famous Petronas Towers''''(named for the Malaysian national oil company). These are two twin towers of over 450 meters high (88 storeys) which have the characteristic of being connected one to another at the height of the 42nd floor. This gateway (the skybridge'''') serves as a point of view for visitors. However, the number of the latter being limited to about 1300 per day, should arrive relatively early in the morning to get a chance to get a pass to reach the sky''''42nd. At 7:15, we arrived at the entrance of mastondontes concrete and steel. Soon we reached the entrance of visitors. The few dozen people had already arrived. We sat as we read the newspaper to pass the time. But soon, the crowd began to swell and it was not long several hundred people are out of cash in back of us. Around 8:30, the big metal curtain rose and the assignment schedule could begin. Luckily, we had access to 9.15. After visiting an exhibition room depicting the construction of the towers (their height,''''design, location, lightning, etc..) Is called on visitors to 9:15. We boarded an elevator and a few seconds later the doors opened. We had already arrived at 42 étage. And see the rigor with which he seems to follow the roadmap, it's a safe bet that it will achieve this to great effect, one of the facilitators who are in the sub-soil of Malaysia as important oil reserves that can fill the coffers of the state of precious capital.
The visit was timed. After 10 minutes taking pictures, we were called back to the elevator because another group would take our place. We took the elevator in the opposite direction and 9.45 am, we were out of the visit. Rather effective. In going to the entry point, a small signs indicating''more tickets for the visits.'' You Do not Mess with quotas!
At the foot of the towers is the most modern and pus prestigious shopping malls in the city. Have not yet breakfasted, we have joined the area of food to swallow anything stand for the rest of the day. To our surprise, we had a rather Western tariffs ... much like we had to reformat the consumer society that we would find in a few days in Canada. Really, anywhere in the world, money is king!
Then we strolled the aisles to discover that the stores here are the same as everywhere else: ''Sony Store'', ''GAP'', ''Banana Republic'', ''The Body Shop'', ''l'Occitane'', etc. In short, Malaysia is well and truly on the path of development.
The morning after a fast spinning, we needed to reach the station to retrieve our bags and catch a train to Konstanz. However, all day, a terrible back pain had greatly handicapped. Once at the station, persistent pain, we chose not to do too much and have decided to stay in town. We took a taxi to the hotel where we had booked for the next day, hoping they would have a room tonight.
The hotel was located in a busy neighborhood street rather Chinese: Jalan Petaling Street'',''that is deemed to be a unique shopping area. Indeed, the street being closed at night, the taxi had to drop us a bit further. Our bags on their backs, we entered on said street or we quickly realized the value of the place. In a deafening cacophony, hundreds of small stalls selling thousands of counterfeit goods (watches, clothes, bags, sunglasses, etc..), Making the area an ideal place for foreign tourists fond of such items. In''zigzag''between the plastic sheets of étlas and speakers who were all screaming louder than each other, we finally reached our hotel. We had a room, being careful to apply it does not on the side of the street! Once installed, we immediately called Constance him that we would come this evening. Luckily, she came the next night in town. We then planned to eat together.
After taking a shower (we had spent the last night on the bus!), We went out to eat. The decor was impressive: the whole trip, we had rarely seen such a concentration of stalls counterfeits, as clearly visible to customers and the addition but also the authorities. Finally, we have landed in a small street restaurant run by two Chinese. A soup, a plate of noodles, tea, and a great kindness on their part have completed our perfect day. It was time to go to sleep.
The next morning the weather was gray. After lingering in bed, we had lunch. But my back demeurrant recalcitrant, I finally made my bed-in''to me''(named after the call for peace by John Lennon and Yoko Ono had started when they spent 7 days in bed ' 'Queen Elizabeth''in Montreal in 1969). Its edge, Sylvie occupied his day by visiting shops selling articles of clothing bijoux.
Apres avoir avalé un café glacé sur la terrasse d'un ''starbuck'' ou d'énormes rats défilaient tranquillement in the dark, we separated because it was time to go to sleep.
Sunday morning was our last day of travel. Actually, he floated in the air a subconscious feeling of end of something. The weather was gloomy, but hot and heavy. Leaving our hotel, we saw orange cones separating the lanes, police and lots of riders: it was the KL marathon! The tourist bus that we had planned to take being stuck in traffic, so we changed our plans, starting on foot. Luckily, the city of KL is''small''. It is relatively easy to walk on foot to tour the center. The first stop was on''Merdeka Square,''the main square and whence came the marathon and the nearest cricket club in the city. Then we went along major arteries and everything was closed, forcing Sunday morning. Finally, around noon, the activity has started full swing. The streets were filled and the stores opened. We enjoyed the air conditioning of the latter to escape us a little about the scorching heat that has prevailed outside. On the way back, we made a stop at Masjid Jamek Mosque'',''the oldest in the city.
A bord, nous nous are installed on the rear platform, the open air, for better appreciate the beautiful day while enjoying the view of the places we passed. After seeing the procession of the King who came to his palace and be awarded by the Central Station, we went down to the bird park. This unique location is a bit over 3.5 hectares entirely covered with a gigantic net. Inside the home to thousands of exotic birds, each more beautiful and more colorful than the others. For a few hours, so we strolled new in this environment or the heady feeling was just the same as we felt a few days ago when we were surrounded by thousands tropical fish amidst the crystal clear waters of the islands Perhentiennes. The fish were turned into birds. The coral trees. At midday, we attended a show featuring peroquets who performed all sorts of pranks like counting, biking or even speak. Equally funny and impressive.
After this great experience, we took the tourist bus to complete the loop and down in Chinatown. Storms broke out in the rain and that we arrived at our hotel. So there is justice somewhere: from the rain, it's always a little less sad than from under a bright sun!
arrived at the hotel a little late (we had to leave the room for 4:00 p.m., but we got there at 16:15!), We quickly took a shower and closed our bags down before the reception. We then had to do some shopping before going to eat one last time in the noisy environment and greasy street restaurants. To conclude our trip, we dived for the last time our chopsticks into a rice topped with grilled pork, chicken and duck. 19h00: departure time had struck!

09-06-25 09-06-24 09-06-18 Kota Bharu
After 30 minutes of crossing, we landed in Kuala Besut. L'essentiel Is not there? So we took his misfortune patiently and we let ourselves go ...
arrived in Kota Bharu, we landed in a city without a real character, with its shopping centers under construction and its broad avenues sullen. Muslim stronghold in northern Malaysia, the rate of veiled women has quickly feel the importance of religion in the region. But surprisingly, cohabitation seems to be okay with that part of the population who dresses and behaves much more Western, wearing shorts or short skirts and going to McDonalds or KFC. But for us, this town was a stopover on our way to Kuala Lumpur. Indeed, it is here that the night train from Kuala Lumpur louse (KL). Yesterday, wanting to book, we learned that the train was full. But Kota Bharu is the urban center of the region, we still decided to come here to find a bus that would take us up to KL. After having deposited our bags in a guesthouse and have had confirmation that trains full étaiet we went out about the bus. To our surprise, the majority of departures evening (several dozen) were already complete. We then booked 2 tickets for the 21:00 departure day. And to spend a night trip ALMOST comfortable we opted for a vehicle with less upper-class passengers, which pays more attention to each of them.
Thereafter, we went the next night market, hoping to find a place to eat. With regard to the night market, highly recommended by our guidebook, it consisted of dozens of stalls selling not anything very interesting for tourists like us. We finally ended up in a Chinese restaurant located in a garage on the ground floor of a decrepit building. While Ted and I were talking, the owner (Chinese) came to us accompanied by a young girl.
The place was particulirement interesting to take some pictures of the lives of vendors and customers who roamed the aisles. After having spent a long time in the market, we were walking through downtown or a few are particularly well-preserved historic buildings. After eating fried chicken (like KFC) which seems to be the specialty of the place, and while the heat was particularly oppressive, we have put ourselves in the fridge to eat ice cream before returning to our guesthouse. We bought some food on the bus and 20.15, it was already time to leave.

Chamomille Tea Benefits
Perhentiennes
After 4 hours of driving, we reached a Jerteh, a small village straddles the main road linking Kuala Terengganu Kota Bharu, near the Thai border. The bus deposited us on the edge of the road with our bags. After having eaten a plate of noodles, we took a taxi to the village of Kuala Besut or of the boat to the islands Perhentiennes. In the office where we bought our tickets was a map of two islands which are called respectively Pulau Kecil''''(Little Island) and Pulau Besar''(the big island). Kecil on a beach was named rather inspiring Coral Bay''of''. It was decided: that's where we would begin our stay in the islands! Indeed, we had about a week to spend in the vicinity, and pensions to stay 3 days on an island and on the other four days. At 16:00, we were getting into one of these speed boats''''who liaise with the islands. Despite the good separation between the islands of the coast, the voyage lasted only 30 minutes thanks to an engine rather''chivalry''(not less than 400 horsepower outboard''''). But the sea being formed and being closely spaced waves, which made the conditions for a rather ... scoop!
Apres avoir pris une chambre a la ''Fatimah guesthouse'', nous nous sommes affalés quelques moments before going to watch the beautiful sunset that we wanted to welcome you. In the evening a strange concert attracted our attention: about 18:30, a host of generating set off. Indeed, electricity is not available on the island, the only way to get them is to produce it. At nightfall, each school then starts his generator to light the scene. It was then time for each visitor to plug its''electronic''Bebelle such as phone, camera, Ipod and other computers. Then we eat has been one of the beach restaurants. Feet in the sand, we have feasted on grilled fish on the BBQ. While the tide was low, it was time to go to sleep.
The next morning, we did not really feel like we are upset ... just discovered a little of our new ENVIRONMENT. After having lunch, we took the little footpath which crosses the island of Kecil, crossing some lizards in transit. Indeed, this island has a length of about 2 km and a width (at its center) of almost 200 meters. The entire island is blank (except the beaches are few facilities or permanent) and covered with thick vegetation, only one path worthy of the name through d'un rivage a l'autre, de ''Coral Bay'' a ''Long Beach''.
Ils entouraient quelques swimmers who ventured through, which would give them the feeling of bathing in a basin of a municipal aquarium! This beach is more popular (and less peaceful) than ours, we recrossed''towards Coral Bay.'' We spent a quiet day, made rest, rest and ... rest. By mid-after noon, when the oppressive heat was somewhat abated, we were rent masks, fins and snorkels to go for a swim to see if, on this wonderful island,''the song refers to plumage''... After the beach was an area bounded by buoys where boats and (Many a rotate) could not penetrate, thus ensuring peace, tranquility and safety divers on Sunday we are. Immediately with water, the show was great. First, the water being at 30 degrees was a bit like stepping into a bath (but without the foam!). Once the head below the water level, it was the fireworks. Abundance of coral and thousands of fish of all kinds (and all colors) that forage around. Parrotfish crunching noisily coral. Clownfish ardently defending their anemone. A line has points discreetly hiding under a reef. A little later there was a floating pontoon vers lequel nous nous sommes dirigés. Quels instants magiques. Nous avons alors réalisé at what point it was extraordinary that two days earlier, we watched one of its congeners in laying eggs and had relaunched a range of baby turtles. Today we swam with one of these graceful creatures who generously agreed well we accompanied him a few moments. Wow. A real sequence emotion! But it was not over. With Sylvie, we came back to swim a little closer to the beach. Suddenly, while we were working in funds of 1.50m, a big fish in the form passed easily identifiable in front of us: a black tip shark (or shark reef'''') of about 1.50m. Certainly they are harmless (as long as they feel not in danger), but the impression is of the same. Say that the movie''Jaws''did nothing to give a good positive image of sharks. But we were calm and watched with great interest how this predator prowling between massive corals in search of potential prey.
After much sense and as the day; finished, we returned to our bungalow for a shower before going to eat. For the next day we had planned a boat trip to go diving around the island. From the next table provenanit accent well known: they spoke French with the accent warm south-west. We then approached the two girls in question as to whether they had made out, and if so, with whom and how is it that they had enjoyed the experience. They called Maud and Celine had gone for 18 months and were traveling for more than two weeks on the island. We then spent a good part of the evening discussing with them in Perhetiennes particuiler and world in general.
Monday, 20, was overcast. Perfect for spending time on the computer! We had lunch in a facility that had an internet connection (yes, it's now available everywhere, even in the middle of the islands!). I opportunity to put some pictures online. It was also the opportunity to write some posts to resume the backlog over the last few weeks ... In the late afternoon after I returned dive along the beach to enjoy once more the magic of the places we had to offer. The night we found Celine and Maud with whom we shared our meals.
Tuesday morning we were going to do our first boat trip. At 10h00, we embark with 6 others for a day of snorkeling''.'' The first stop was called''point''shark. Rather reassuring! Finally, although this is a good place to observe the reef'' sharks'', few were at the rendezvous that day. Certainly because of the particularly high attendance of the site by hundreds of Korean tourists and singapouréens ... But funds were superb, crystal clear water and fish everywhere. After a second spot, we made a stop to swim with the turtles. On the sandy shoals lying between the two islands (Besar and Kecil), the boat slows down to see the shadow of the carapace of a turtle grazing on the merits. Immediately identified, the driver makes you jump into the water (with your diving equipment). It is then up to you to swim fast enough to see something.
Puisque seulement 3 bateaux relient quotidiennement ''Coral Bay'' is popular, we decided to take it at noon. Thus, we could enjoy a few hours more idyllic surroundings. Indeed, he trotted necessarily somewhere in our head a little feeling back, end of journey. Around 11:30, Celine and Maud came to tell us goodbye and we joined the end of the pier. At noon precise, our pilot lowered the throttle and the boat rushed to Kuala Besuth.

Lace Front Wig Big Forehead
Les iles 09-06-15 09-06-14
The ride to Jerantut took 1:30. At 11:30 we had arrived. We wanted to reach the coast via Kuantan. But the next bus does not leave until 14:00. Notre destination finale étant Cherating, un peu plus north, we hoped a bus to partner again despite the late hour. Fortunately, a bus leaving at 18.45 passed by. It could drop us off on the roadside. We bought our tickets and we just had time to get into the vehicle before he left. 45 minutes later, we arrived in Cherating. The bus stopped on the roadside and waved us chaufeur. Our journey ended there for today!
With our backpacks, we crossed the road and took a small road leading to the seaside resorts''few''high standard followed another until we were falling on more guesthouses modest. The night had already fallen, we found a small cottage that was our case. Clean, with toilet and shower ensuite, and cheap. Emptied, we took our bags and were eating in the restaurant located just behind. The large terrace along the mangrove was particularly atmospheare, with good rock music for years 70-80-90 and coconuts everywhere. To please us, we ate pasta and pizza. Particularly good for the place (in Asia!). On the giant screen went''''Men in Black with Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. At the end of the film, it was time to go to bed!
The next morning, sky was overcast. We had lunch at the same restaurant as yesterday. Then we were walking around. We were surrounded by a huge mangrove swamp. A beautiful white sand beach (but dirty) presented itself to visitors. The small resort town was particularly quiet. Few people. A golden silence. The perfect place to relax. On the way home, after purchasing our bus tickets for tomorrow, we are informed about activities to do here. The most popular attraction seemed to be watching sea turtles come to lay on a nearby beach. Upon learning that there could be up to 200 people who were watching (in same time!) a turtle, we chose the more private option or guide accompanies us throughout the evening and in small groups to observe the entire process, from the arrival of the turtle on the beach until his return with water. We had to be at the cottage was 18.45. We therefore returned to finish our day at the cottage. 18:45
precise, after eating, we were ready. But nobody came. 19:00. 19.15. 19:30. Still nothing. There was a problem. While we were on our deck reading and writing, the head of the guesthouse we asked if we had booked an activity ... Before this affirmative answer, we information that the guide had called in late after noon to say he had an impediment. Do we not find them, he could send us a message. However, the guide had to remind him that he could take us immediately to pass (it was 9:50 p.m.) because of the turtles had been spotted on the beach. 10 minutes later a minibus parked in front. One man apologized: he was the famous guide. We jumped in the minibus or 3 singapouréens were already taking place. After a 15 minute drive we arrived at a parking lot by the sea Once out, the guide told us that tonight we would make him a service. It opened the trunk of the minivan. 2 green plastic crates were there. Inside, dozens of mini turtles. They were babies in incubators that we were going back to the water. Wow! What''feeling''that impressive to hold in his hands mini-turtle just born and we will return to their natural element.
2 other vehicles arrived. In total, there were about 12 people. Behind the guide, we went down to the beach as we went along to a small bay. The, we lighted large traces starting from the sea and back on the beach. It was a turtle track was made by trailing up their spawning grounds. Moments later we find ourselves back in a huge turtle that was trying to reseal the hole in which she had just put her eggs. With his fins, they propelled the sand back and forth with an impressive force. Then, despite her exhaustion, she turned to the sea and began crossing the beach to reach the water. We followed in this last effort. A last stride and a wave passed over his head. This contact gave him a kind of second wind. With one bound she rushed into the waves lighted our lamps. Immediately, she disappeared into the darkness of the night. Thereafter, we returned spawning site. A''store''that monitors the beach then made a hole in the vertical of God lay. He has extracted all the egg white and round is the soft shell. In fact, you do not know that turtles are animals in danger of exctinction. However, their eggs are a delicacy especially popular among Asians. And their excessively high price creates many temptations among the unscrupulous souls. Therefore, nesting beaches are monitored constantly, day and night to prevent possible poachers do not come to collect the eggs. And once a turtle has laid her that they are recovered and sent to a place of brooding. Once the eggs hatch, the turtles are then released, as we were about to do tonight. After observing the collection of eggs, we effectivment posted on the beach, about 5 meters from the shore, with each number of turtles in my hands. Together, we have carefully laid on the sand, the guide illuminating the area between the turtles and the sea, which has the effect of the draw. The reason we had to release them on the sand and not directly into the sea is that it has this moment, crossing the beach to reach the water, the turtle soak (in a manner that it is not known) of their place of birth or they will return to lay in turn in 20 years! Moreover, the survival rate is about 1 per 1000 births turtle. You will therefore understand that they deserve our full attention! After that''emotion''sequence, we settled for a moment on the rocks while waiting for the possible arrival of another turtle. This was not forthcoming, our guide finally rolled a note to go to bed guesthouse.
Wednesday morning, the alarm clock rang at 8:00. Not stay long there, the bags were quickly closed. Then we took the street leading up to the national highway. At 8:45, as agreed, a bus company''transnational''field road to get us.

Sunday morning, waking announced the start of preparations for shipping note: putting his big bag to leave at the guesthouse,''prepare''daypack with the bare necessities (silk cloth, t Spare-shirt, pants and top has long sleeves, insect repellent, knife, headlamp, camera, etc..). We had plenty of water (no potable water for the next 30 hours despite severe dehydration) and eat in the evening and breakfast the next morning. We had also sleeping pad because the beds of the cache are only des plannches de bois...
Avec Arnaud, we made a quick crossing the side of the national park to reserve it (and pay) him as his night in the cache. On the register, only 2 were reserved for Argentina tonight. Then we met Sylvia on the floating restaurant where we asked for a boat up river. A few minutes later, a boat docked at our floating restaurant: the departure time had sounded.
The boat sailed up the River. Sometimes the rapids were pretty impressive, but our pilot was maneuvering a marvel, zigzagging between the rocks exposed at the surface. After a little over 30 minutes, we landed on the shore at the foot of old chalets was abandoned. Beyond that it was leaving the track to our cache. Indeed, we soon spotted the arrows indicating the name of our cache. For about 45 minutes, so we walked in this dense forest, following strictly the lane. Sometimes we had to cross streams, climb over huge trunks of trees or jump over the huge colonies of red ants and black. It was then that we met two English who arrived in the opposite direction. A little pale, they seemed happy to see the world. They explained to us that they had slept the night in the cache and this morning they were left by the''easy way''. But after having crossed the river, they had lost track of the road. And returning, they had lost. They had turned 6 pm in the forest and they were almost a watercourse. They really seem shocked. It also had the effect of sowing doubt in our minds when the track was''easy''. They then went back to the river (from where we came) in order to beg for a boat down to the village. From our side, we resumed our journey to reach our cache. She was facing a clearing. It had been built several meters high and piles of concrete. At the entrance there was a toilet and shower was used only in case of extreme need (!). Interior the cache was a large room in which were six bunks glued to each other. On 2 sides of the room, openings acted as windows with shutters and étient. Faced with the clearing, a huge opening allowed to watch at leisure activity late in the day.
order to plan our return tomorrow, and curious to see if the path was so difficult to find once the river crossing, we reached the said river which was about 20 minutes. In the mud, we could see fresh tracks of an animal weighing (a view of the depth of the impression) that had 5 large claws ... When you know that tigers still roam the region, it is enough to have a little shiver down my back! Then we finally arrived at the famous river. A rope was placed across it. The water looked deep enough, but on the other side, we could easily distinguish the signs to continue on the path. We were left to hope that the water level does not rise into the night.
Shortly after we returned to the cache, a couple arrived. It was the Argentines. They had to walk seven hours to get here. They had taken the harder path and were exhausted. About an hour later, the noise attracted our attention. A group of 3 others arrived. Of Anglo-Saxon (Australia apparently) noisy rested their bags in the cache. In fact, they had left to walk several days but had nothing booked. Luckily, the cache was large and many seats were free. The evening was spent watching the side of the clearing where the visitors came to show themselves. At nightfall, the front light has served the clearing and the edge of the wood to detect eyes in the dark. The balance of the evening was thin with only two pairs of eyes! To 22h, to the poverty of our observations, it was time to go to bed. But at 22:45, Sylvia screamed. The pseudo-Australian had left their food on the bed next to Sylvie. And of course, before the supermarket opened, the rats were not made to come and pray do their shopping! Our board, having previously been advised by park staff, although we carefully suspended all our affairs ... Then, around 23:30, a few drops began to fall on the roof in jail. A few seconds later, it was the deluge. A deafening roar filled the cache. It promised the next day!
The next morning the rain had ceased. Ready after having swallowed the first few rolls, we took the road, accompanied by the Argentine couple who seemed to enjoy not be alone. We headed to the river, hoping that its level and speed are not excessive. As we walked through the wet undergrowth, Arnaud pointed out to us the presence of leeches. Indeed, everywhere, sagsues stood on the road, waiting patiently for a warm-blooded animal passes through to cling to him. As we walked, funny wheeze have attracted our attention. Up in the trees, a strange invisible animal emitted a sound between singing and whistling, with false airs of ambulance sirens. Be discreetly approached us after we finally saw two Gibon. One of them was quietly installed to sing while the other jumped from branch to branch, tree abre. The show was magical and we stayed a good time to observe this spectacle so rare.
A little later, once arrived at the river, we were pleasantly surprised by the level that seems to have remained passable. We had however a courageous to do the first crossing. Personally, I was not comfortable with the idea of crossing a river and then take a path which we do not know the status after the torrential pluis night, especially thinking back to two English who had lost copiously ... While the Argentine undressed, I watched autour de moi.
This little animal is about 1cm long and 2 millimeters in diameter when''empty''. It stands on one end until the''warm-blooded.'' When the victim approaches, the leech moves then swinging on its other end, and vice versa. Like 2 legs that march without a body. They are even more impressive what move relatively quickly. And they are discrete partiulierement! Once the Argentine dressed, we took the path in the opposite direction toward the river, taking care not to stop us too not that leeches can abuse our bodies. About 45 minutes later we had reached the point where we had arrived the day before, on the waterfront. It was time to see if the leeches were lpus smarter than us. Sylvie had adopted 2. Arnaud no. Argentines 1 each. From my side, I thought passing through the trap of these blood-sucking. But when I took off my pants, my legs were covered. 2 has the right and 6 left. Some were there for a while because they had already attained a rather impressive size. Arnaud being a smoker, he used his cigarette to burn them. In fact, under the influence of heat, they let go. This is when they can be easily removed before they try their hand again. However, once the leeches removed, the bleeding is relatively abundant. Indeed, to facilitate their''pumping''in the bite they inject an anti-coagullant. And reconciled with 6 bites, the wounds did not want to close them, and even saigenement lasted nearly 30 minutes.
On the river, the men came down the course on makeshift rafts made of bamboo. They were firefighters who were doing exercises. Pretty brave! Then a bateaun landed at the dock where we were. He was an employee of the abandoned cabins that had just been bought by a developer who wanted to revive the case. We had a conveyance to go!
30 minutes later, we were back to the village. We were eating and then have regained our guesthouse. The shower was welcome. Finally clean and comfortably, we could regain some strength by doing a little nap. By late afternoon, we were taking our messages on the web. In the evening we returned to eat one last time on the edge of the river for the next day we left the place to join the East Coast of Malaysia. Back at the guesthouse, Arnaud and I remade the world again until 2:30 in the morning before falling asleep.
Tuesday 16, we woke up around 8:30. Quickly, we made our bags and then have joined the starting point du bus pour Jerantut.

09-06 -11 Kuala Tahan (Taman Negara)
N'étant pas certains de pouvoir arriver a Jerantut a temps pour prendre le dernier bus pour Kuala Tahan, notre objectif était de minimalement rejoindre Jeranatut where we spend the night to catch the first bus the next morning.
After 2:30 on a perfect 4 lane highway (the most comfortable since the beginning of our trip), we arrived in KL (Kuala Lumpur), the capital of Malaysia. This city possesses no modern''that''one million inhabitants and is symbolized by its iconic two towers, the Petronas Towers'',''name of the national oil company (Malaysia has multiple sources of black gold). At the bus station, we were told that for Jerantut, he had to take a bus to another bus station. We then took a taxi (after several have refused to take us to the counter, asking us rather a flat fee sometimes exaggerated) and drove through the city while tasting the passage has its traffic jams. On arrival, we had to wait 1 hour before leaving, which left us just enough time to go eat. The bus then took our've certainly had the most comfortable and most recently we have had. At 14:00, the driver sprang his''beautiful''scania and took the road to Jerantut. For once, we managed to have seats in front (just behind the driver), which would ensure optimal comfort in not being on the shock absorbers! Around 15:30, after being asleep a few moments, we noticed the strange behavior du chauffeur. Réalisant que nous filions droit a disaster, I've started a''HEY!''accompanied by a hissing sound. Immediately, the driver regained consciousness and pulled his vehicle in the left lane when the vehicle in front having passed us by carefully displaced orbits on their shoulder. From then on, he began to lead''normal''with no suspicious gesture. His brain was sending enough of the adrenaline in his body to stay awake until we arrived one hour later. Jerantut is made whole, we could breathe. On our descent from the bus, a man told us that the bus to Taman Negara was leaving shortly. After a moment's reflection, we boarded the bus to old 1h30 more. Finally, around 19:00, after about 10 hours of traveling, we finally reached their destination.
Once deposited our bags in front of a pseudo tourist bureau to take initial information on the place, Sylvie went to his board to find beds. She found in a dorm a little further. The place was small but clean. Finally, after having dropped our bags''for good''we were eating in a floating restaurant. Indeed, the reserve of Taman Negara is situated in the center of Malaysia in the middle of a primary rainforest dating back over 130 million years. The village of Kualal Tahan is camped beside a river has brown water whose flow varies daily depending on rainfall. On the banks of this river are moored barges converted into retaurants family in spying or rental of camping equipment. All around, it's the drill. A bit gutted by day our transport, we ate a bite before going to bed.
The next morning, we were a bit like a day of celebration. Tired, haggard, the taste for doing nothing. After 10 months of travel, we came to realize was how much the whole day of travel (as before) draining our energy the next day. The day was therefore a rest. After we be raised a bit later, we went to lunch and then we quickly toured the village, composed mostly guesthouses. We inquired about the''package''offered to go into the forest. Treks a day over a week, with a night in caves or in caches. 4x4 nights out to see wildlife. But frankly, unimpressed by the apparent amateurism met, we were not comfortable with such a book tour. Then we have been doing some business on the net we spread before returning to our guesthouse. As a post-party I told you ...
Late after noon, we had the idea to leave the next day for the next destination. However, we asked the owner of our guesthouse if we could do''''night safari. Being only 2 people, he could assure us that we could go (it needed a minimum of 4). Then we met Arnaud, a French man who was sleeping in the same guesthouse as us. He was also left for a year around the world. Alone. While we were talking on the terrace, the guy from the guesthouse we announced that we had found a departure 21h for a safari. It was 8:15 p.m.! With our new friend, we eat quickly descended on the banks of the River. At 21:00, a pickup truck came to pick us up. Contact Arnaud join us. Thus, for nearly two hours, we rode on the paths of the palm (for palm oil). On the roof of the pickup, a guide tracked the animal using a powerful spotlight. During our evening so we could see some birds (wisely sleeping on their part), colorful frogs and a snake (tiny that the guide had located 20 meters!). After this activity interesting night, we returned to our guesthouse wisely. Under the stars that filled the sky, then we have discussed all three of everything and nothing. France. Canada. World in general. Policy. On economy. De social. Des discussions de fond, de reve parfois. Bref.
There was walking, of course, but also a suspension bridge and nights in the caches. For the latter, one of them was particularly interesting. Could be reached by walking (about 7 hours walk) or by boat that dropped us a 45 minute walk from the cache. So we booked that cache the next night. We would come back by boat and on foot.
Then we went walking in the park. Along trails in the middle of a beautiful tropical forest, we could see monkeys, lizards, spiders (small), ant colonies (huge ants almost 2 inches!). Anyway ... life in the forest! Our first stop was to walk on bridges suspended in the canopy (upper part of the forest habitat for species which, for some, never go down to the ground). About 30 meters from the ground, so we have traveled over 500 meters of bridges made of rope and planks. One at a time, with a minimum of 5 meters between each. Unlike the jungle''flight''(zip) in Chiang Mai (Thailand), the forest here is very dense, which really gives the impression of full communion with nature. Mais a son réveil, il avait had some remorse to leave earlier if a region so beautiful and so difficult to reach without at least going to visit a minimum. So, thinking that our guesthouse was full on this Saturday night (what the owner told us the day before and then the opposite this morning!), He had moved to another guesthouse nearby before going to do exactly the same trick we National Park, just an hour behind us ... We've been eating every 3 before going to bed, the day helping fatigsue!

Fairy Tale Bridal Shower Ideas
Melaca
after driving about 45 minutes on the peripheral highways of the city, we were already arrived at the border separating Singapore from Malaysia. To get out of Singapore, passing through immigration was very simple. After having crossed the mighty frontier post (with its listings, its portcullis and security everywhere), we crossed the bridge into Malaysia. On the other side, the bus stopped, we took our bags and we put in line to pass immigration. Ahead of us, 2 French seemed to have some trouble with immigration officials, who asked how much money they had on them (?), If they had any means of payment, etc.. Their business semba rather bad start ... Before this scene, which seemed want to drag on, the station agent was quoted beckoned us to move from its board. He took our passports and scanning. I watched the moment he should affix the stamp so it does not use the last page, the only remaining virgin ... But instead of wanting to put any stamp on our passports, he looked at us and asked us our tickets back. ''We only electronic tickets, so we did not copy her paper''we replied. At that moment, his face changed and we realized that this would not be so easy as it looked.
''Under the procedure, I need a hard copy tickets please. We understand
the procedure. However, tickets are now electronic and only the passport is required upon embarkation. That's why we did not copy.
I understand you. But the procedure requires a paper ticket. I can not let you in without it.
I note in electronic format in the computer. I can show you.
No, only one copy.
Where can I print an email here?
Nowhere. Only by returning to Singapore.''
We were off track. The face of the officer expressed a certain weariness mingled with a deep distress. In addition, the bus was waiting for all the world is over before leaving. But if people have problems with immigration, the bus does not wait endlessly and after some time, he left leaving behind his''problem cases''on the spot. Finally, the current stalemate, the agent asked if we had money on us. Malaysian Ringgit No''. Sinpagour a few dollars and U.S. dollars.'' Before this response, the agent seemed discouraged. Then he lowered the tone of his voice and said''hey, if you pay a little money, so I could close my eyes.'' We do not believe our ears. We did ask for a''Bakshish''in Malaysia so that we do not got no job was border. Not even in Africa. However, our thinking was clear on this point. After a look to Sylvie, we said together:''sorry but we do not pay Bakshish.'' The word made him eyebrows. Immediately, he put his finger to his mouth, asked us not to make too much noise, then tells us despondently that he would have to ask permission from his supervisor. No problem'',''we have time we said it. He looked to said supervisor was busy. The officer seemed to think (of the genus''I call my boss to the risk that two tourists told him that I asked for a Bakshish or choking Case''). He chose the second idea. We looked, and, lowering his shoulders as if to apologize, it whispers''OK, I'll trust you.'' He took his pad and a quick gesture, then stamp our passports 2. Avoiding stamp my last blank page! We handed our passports wishing us good holiday in Malaysia''''''and imploring us to be nice to take home as promised.'' We picked up our bags and have lifted their legs! In the next room, the customs have scanned our bags and then we came back our bus waiting for us. We looked and have blown a good time!
The rest of the trip was without encumbrances. Around 15:00, we arrived at Malacca, a coastal city at the entrance of the strait of the same name, south-west of Malaysia. At the bus station, a detail we struck: the majority of women wore a veil. What we did not realize before arriving is that Malaysia is a predominantly Muslim country. Then we jumped in the bus that would take us downtown. On a wall at the entrance of the old city was an immense inscription:''Melac, city declared World Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in Quebec City, July 7, 2008''. The world is not it small? The ticket agent or down and showed us quickly, we found a avionms guesthouse or ask us. In the regulations of the house, it was clearly stated that we should remove their shoes before entering, that pork consumption was strictly prohibited and that all food should be mandatory halal. Other countries, other customs.
Once installed our bags, we went out for a first visit to the city. Everywhere, tricycles pedal has extensively covered with colorful plastic flowers and playing music loudly offer tourists a ride through the old neighborhood. Behind a huge shopping mall was a small hill. At its foot, a remnant of wall dating from the time when the Portuguese had the grip on the place. On the hill, an old church which only the walls were still standing. After watching the sunset, we came down our promontory to fall on an old place with walls the color maroon, we crossed a small canal to make us in Chinatown. Surprisingly, when he was about 19:30, everything was already closed. We ate at the terrace of a bistro very nice and we returned to our guesthouse. But before going to bed, we were call to Expedia to clarify the problem with our ticket (one wants to go anyway, we ...). It was laborious. After having finally managed to speak to an agent speaking, it was necessary that he understands your problems. And once he finally understood, the cut line (we call via the internet). So we had to call back and start over with a new agent because they do not transfer calls and the one that meets that takes care of you. In short, after about two hours has repeated several times our history, the Internet café owner told us it was closing. Super ... we will have start again tomorrow night!
Tuesday, June 9, we got up late. We then walk back to Chinatown to see the famous antique shops that the guide boasted so much.
A little tired and very much exasperated by''fooling around''for a plane ticket unpretentious, the poor had the pleasure of hearing my frustration of having to spend many hours with a helmet on his head trying to find a solution. Especially since the same situation had occurred in March (which took us over 8 hours of phone to resolve the issue), with the result that finally, our flight was not changed because Air China had finally handed over the original flight. Anything in the concentrate.
Wednesday morning, we went to take a tourist bus which was a 2-story, it seems, around the city and its attractions. It is at this point that we realized how much the city Melac was disappointing to our eyes. Especially for a city that deserves such a high distinction of being World Heritage of Humanity. In fact, the tourist attraction is very concentrated in the (little) china-town and some traces of the Portuguese occupation. We recognize that our decision is cetain altered by all the wonders that we have discovered over the past 10 months, but we crossed many site that deserve just as much (if not more) to be recognized as places has absolutely unique preserve. After this rapid bus tour that we revealed much more, we were refreshed we had air conditioning in a shopping center nearby before taking another bus to the Portuguese quarter. Again, we landed in a residential area with no particular character. After having skirted the shore polluted by sewage that are roaring into the sea, we reached an important place in the waterfront or seemed to be a little more activity at night and during the summer. After taking refreshment, we took the bus to the bus station to inform us on the starts tomorrow. Then we came back downtown and we stopped in Chinatown. We had spotted a shop run by a Chinese who sold the masks. Luckily, everything was closed when it was open because of demeurrée customers who lingered in his shop. We took the notes by purchasing a few things for his pleasure. Then we stopped to eat in back of our guesthouse before returning once more to the Internet cafe for our tickets davion: now without tickets, we had to buy else to join Canada. We finally found 2 return tickets, with the distinct advantage that they lead us not to New York but directly to Montreal. On such good news, we could go to bed peace of mind. This judicial
morning was our last awakening Melac. We put our bags on the back and have been taking a bus to the bus station. At 10:00 we were on our way with the hope of joining the same evening the national park of Taman Negara, has nearly 600 miles away.

Finally, immediately after the doors are closed, the plane began to move (to limit the costs of airport, the airlines''low cost''trying to spend as little time as possible handling). Indeed, the prevailing stormy sky made me fear an incredible takeoff. Furthermore, we learned the day before the tragedy that struck the Air France flight linking Rio to Paris. According to the initial assumptions, the aircraft could have been struck, which would have caused a breakdown in controls. Was all he was most reassuring when considered we had taken place in an A320 (aircraft orders fully electric) and the airport was surrounded thunderstorms ... But takeoff was normal and the most rapidly, we were above the clouds. Like any company
''low cost''self-respecting (and who does everything to keep the price floor!), We had no right service (free) for 3 flight hours. But having to choose between a $ 35 ticket per person without services or $ 250 with a glass of orange juice and a sandwich, we had opted for the temporary fasting!
Towards 21h30, we asked the wheels in Singapore Changi Airport. Descended on the track of low-cost terminal'',''we went through the terminal or we had a thermal scan (H1N1 oblige!) And then we spent without immigration terminology problems. For those following the saga of the passport they stamped on a page already busy, which always left me a blank page. Bags on the back, we took a bus to rejoind metro station to the airport, the latter we leading city in the place we had booked a hotel.
Towards 23:00 we landed the subway without having any idea of what look like the place. Finally, we were very close to the Malay Quarter. The atmosphere was a little surreal, with people everywhere, especially men, who were sitting was one of the many street restaurants open to the four winds. We could easily have been in India. The temperature and humidity were stunned to urban sherpas we were. After seeking our way and have attracted the attention of many people, we found our hotel booked by internet. Indeed, Singapore a city is rather expensive (compared to many places visited) and prices can be drastically more interesting when the reservation is made online. We put our bags in our room and went downstairs to eat the Indian in the street before going to bed.
The room is air conditioned and quiet, waking the next morning was delayed. Around noon, we finally left our hotel to visit the city. The heat was overwhelming. The subway, he, acted as refrigerators, which did not fail to make me sick (a good sore throat for several days). The first area we visited is the business district, the alone or are real tricks.
Singapore is one of those cities whose name is dreaming, like Venice, New York, Paris, Cairo or Varanasi (but all for different reasons). Personally, we expected to find a city like Hong Kong has, with its hundreds of skyscrapers and concrete continuously. But to set aside the area of finance or are dozens of laps (almost less impressive than the center in Montréal), the city we found was large with large arteries and its buildings widely separated other, with green parks and flowers everywhere, and particularly well maintained. The Life takes place naturally, just like in the movie''The Truman Show.'' The city-state is nicknamed''The Fine City,''which can be translated as''good''city but also (and especially!) As''the city''with tickets. Indeed, the regulations are strict and non-compliance is promptly punished by a fine. For example, smoking in prohibited area costing $ 1,000 Singapore (around $ 700 ie, 500 euros). The fleet was also surprising. All cars are new, or almost. Indeed, a law prohibits the movement of cars over 5 years (with exceptions). Suffice to say that you are better to pay and secure your Bentley or Ferrari if you do not want to lose too much money!
Another point that attracted our attention is the pervasiveness of public health messages. Indeed, everywhere, there are opinions as to the importance of handwashing, personal hygiene, the risks of transmission of infectious diseases. I'm sure there would be many things we should look to remind some people they have an important role in maintaining public health.
Continuing our discovery of this city''model'', we joined the Colonial district (around the town hall), attesting to the rich history of this strategic position, both géorgraphique, Merchant Policy. We also visited an exhibition which traces the national assembly the foundations of this democracy. Interesting fact: in order to ensure a fair representation of all cultures that make up the city-state, all the candidates obtaining a position as an MP should be part of a voters list displaying at least 6 representatives of minorities. Thus, the intermingling of ideas and taking into account those of others are required to be elected.
Outside, all along major boulevards, municipal employees were busy installing a huge gantry cranes which were installed huge floodlights. After having sought the reason for so much activity, we realized that it was the preparations for the F1 Grand Prix to be held in September and takes place at night in the streets of the city. Unlike Montreal, which owns a track full and permanent, the device must be installed in Singapore before the race and after uninstalling it to make the city Mr and Mrs everyone (like in Monaco). In any case, they do not skimp with the means!
While the heat was unbearable to walk outside, we made a stop in a McDonalds refreshing to have a sundae (I know, is not very strong, but it's so good!). And by the merest chance (it's not true!), The McDonalds was in a mall nearby and dedicated to electronics. Obviously, for many people, Singapore is synonymous with ... electronics (it does not rhyme, but that's what's funny!). But think again. Obviously, I had long studied the issue on the Internet before arriving (if we had been in a very advantageous spot prices, we would certainly have made some e-shopping!). But as many blogs and forums had mentioned, and contrary to popular belief (which was based there is a ten year), Singapore (like Hong Kong) are no longer the place to buy electronics. Prices today are the most interesting ... in North America! Sure, you can purchase items from the''gray market'', but then you have to do without any warranty and remedies for failure of your unit. Therefore, if you want to buy cheap electronic and officially, that the U.S. and Canada as it happens.
Then, crossing the majestic Opera Singapore shaped durian, we walked toward the ferris wheel in Singapore, the big sister of one of London.
En déambulant ainsi sur les quais superbement aménagés, nous avons tranquillement changé de quartier pour nous retrouver dans ''quay side'', ou les berges ont la aussi été données au habitants en putting at their disposal moults bars, restaurants and clubs where people can both have a drink after work that partying until the wee hours of the night in the trendiest discos in town.
The night had fallen long ago and our legs were exhausted, we took the metro back to our neighborhood, a few stations. To change a little food, we ate Indian. What we confirmed that Indian food is outside India, even cooked by Indians, does not taste the same thing in India!
Friday, June 5, we left our hotel a little earlier than yesterday. Our first stop was in Chinatown. However, after seeing Chinatown ... in China, we found it a bit bland. Especially since it is particularly tourism and it is really active in the evening. Then we returned to the quay side to side''to''take a boat rides for visitors to the center channel. Thus, we sailed close to an hour in the downtown, along the banks all provided between residential buildings and recreation. Particularly charming ...
As tired to walk far in the heat of the after-noon, we returned to rest at the hotel. Sylvie took the opportunity to some reservations on the Internet. The night we ate Chinese stalls that were down in the street.
Saturday morning, we began our visit on the island of Sentosa, connected to Singapore by a small Skytrain. The island is mostly dedicated to leisure. Several''''luxury resorts are located there. A section of the island is the subject of a residential development with upscale marina (we all know: when you're rich, you have a boat!). Another work is underway to install a Universal Studios theme park''''(perhaps for the''Disneyland''consurrencer Hong Kong!) And the largest aquarium the world. Finally, there are also several tourist activities to entertain people and tourists. Our first activity was therefore a''tower''Seagway, this small electric vehicle with 2 wheels on which it moves her body leaning forward or backward. We fell in ecstasy before the little vehicle that greater use could solve many problems of displacement, pollution, and space in our Western societies. Then we were taking place in a nacelle that rotates around a turn, giving us an excellent view of the famous Malacca Strait (strait between Singapore and Malaysia Indonesia, and by which all vessels moving liaising between Europe and Asia, several dozens of ships per day). Then we visited an attraction telling the story of the city, with among others his release from the British occupation. Then we went sledging on a concrete runway for several hundred meters, as at Mont-Tremblant or Chamonix. The day passed quickly. Very fast. Thus when one takes pleasure. Late after-noon, so we are left filled to the nearby town. After having strolled a bit in the huge shopping center or the skytrain arrived, we returned to our neighborhoods.
A human tide and an air of social disorganization in a society usually so polite. All in good humor. Fearing a knee-jerk reaction to our experience a bit brutal (6 months in Asia, it does enjoy the quiet!), We quickly resumed a bus direction of our hotel. It was our last night in Singapore. But an email from Expedia (from whom we bought our return ticket to New York) necessitated a call: a major change had to be provided by the carrier (Air China). After more than half past one on the phone, we learned that the flight of 26 was canceled and we were transferred to the flight 27. Super. The company changed our dates and everything goes ... However, we were offered to cancel without charge. But if we cancel the tickets were équvalents now more expensive (that's why we bought our tickets last August!). Brief. Air China is closed on weekends, we would call back later. Not all that reassuring!
The next morning, June 8, we have set our alarm clock to get us out of bed. After 5 days of inactivity, we gave our bags on the back. Some subway stations later, we were in the place where the buses were leaving for Melac, Malaysia. We bought our tickets and 11:00, after having had time to have lunch one last time in this city''favorite,''we're soaring up to 4 hours away.
